Ministry

An Astute Man of God with a Heart to Serve!

Minister Isaac Butler’s focus in ministry is unity and oneness with Christ. He believes the pursuit of unity is important to have a successful personal relationship with Christ, a thriving marriage and family, and to fulfill the mission of the church.

As the proud husband of Dr. Lakesha Butler and father to their two children, Minister Butler’s ministry starts at home. His favorite activities include attending his kids sporting events, date nights with his wife, family board games, and watching basketball.

Using his spiritual gifts of administration, teaching and leadership, Minister Butler serves in formal ministry roles as a member of the Ark of Safety Christian Church leadership team, executive board of directors, and as an ordained minister preaching and officiating services. Minister Butler formerly served as the church’s youth pastor for seven years. In addition, Minister Butler serves as a liaison for Faith and for the Sake of All, a non-profit organization focused on mobilizing faith communities to address racial disparities in health, education and other life-outcomes.

Unity – The Visible Hope of God’s Love

This was a two-part message on (1) the importance of unity to Christianity, (2) how God wants us to strive for unity in the midst of diversity and (3) what are some things we can do to individually and systemically promote racial unity within the institutions that we influence (John 17:20-24, Eph 2:14-19, 4:4, James 2:1, 8-9).

Systemic Attacks Part 1 – Understanding Our Enemy

This is a four part series to help the body of Christ understand the systematic ways Satan operates so we can know how to defeat our enemy, rule our world and walk in the victory Christ has claimed for us as believers. Topics include the image of God, racism, unity and systemic solutions.

Part 1 – Understanding Our Enemy

The enemy has set up systems to attack mankind because we are made in God’s image. The enemy will ultimately be defeated when Christ returns. Until then, it’s important to understand how he operates so we can win in our personal walk and successfully share the gospel as Christians.

Systemic Attacks Part 2 – God’s Image & Systems of Oppression

This is a four part series to help the body of Christ understand the systematic ways Satan operates so we can know how to defeat our enemy, rule our world and walk in the victory Christ has claimed for us as believers. Topics include the image of God, racism, unity and systemic solutions.

Part 2 – God’s Image & Systems of Oppression

Systems of oppression are one of the main ways the enemy devalues humans and attacks God’s image.  Racism is one of the main systems of oppression created by Satan to divide believers and oppress mankind.

Systemic Attacks Part 3 – Unity Is Fundamental to Christianity

This is a four part series to help the body of Christ understand the systematic ways Satan operates so we can know how to defeat our enemy, rule our world and walk in the victory Christ has claimed for us as believers. Topics include the image of God, racism, unity and systemic solutions.

Part 3: Unity Is Fundamental to Christianity

From Genesis to Revelation, there is a consistent thread that unity and overcoming racism is fundamental to what it means to be a Christian.

Part 4 – A Framework for Systemic Solutions

Part 4 – A Framework for Systemic Solutions

You can address systemic attacks by focusing on (1) being intentional in your efforts, (2) address sin not the sinner, (3) be mindful of your approach, (4) be humble image bearers, (5) find common ground, and (6) address specific policies and practices.
